Also this piece on the Gardez fighting in Time, which one suspects is much closer to the truth (maybe 60 Al Qaeda and some regrouping Taliban) of the strength of this adversary than what ABC News is saying today (600 foreign fighters). The difference? Time quotes actual identifiable humans (like local governor Taj Mohammed Wardak), whereas ABC goes with third-hand accounts from "villagers" and a "farmer." Oh, yeah, that's reliable... Hey, if we're going to ding Marc Herold for that kind of stuff, we've got to call the big journos when they do it, too.
