Ulli S. Watkiss
City Clerk
Corporation of the City of Toronto
100 Queen St. West
Toronto, ON
M5H 2N2

Dear Ms Watkiss:

The Municipal Act provides as follows:

284. (1) The council of the corporation that has jurisdiction over a highway or bridge shall keep it in a state of repair that is reasonable in light of all the circumstances, including the character and location of the highway or bridge.

The purpose of this letter is to object to the fact that the light at the intersection of Bremner Blvd. and Spadina Ave. does not turn green for eastbound road users who are cyclists, although no sign warns of this.

It is my view that allowing this situation to exist is a failure on the part of the City of Toronto to keep the intersection 'in a state of repair that is reasonable in light of all the circumstances,' as the Municipal Act requires, for all lawful road users.

Sincerely,

Patrick Cain
