I'm not sure what these small, cheerful bulbs are. They're not in the gardenimport.com receipts from last fall, as far as I can see.
They're welcome, anyway, though if I'd known how short they were I would have put them somewhere where they could show off a bit more. Further below: the giant white alliums (A. 'Mount Everest') come into bloom.




Various shots of the garden follow, starting with Tulipa urumiensis. This bulb has been opening in the light and closing in the shade - this afternoon, I saw some flowers close as a shadow fell over them, and others in a patch of sun stay open.
